Qinghai Plateau
青藏高原
In recent years, Tuma has frequently visited the Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai. This secluded place is rich with captivating, unique minority cultures. The "June Festival" is held in the sixth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. Due to the local people's Buddhist beliefs, they express reverence for the deities through dance, song, and religious rituals during this folk festival, praying for blessings for the coming year. "Thangka" is an art form where Buddhist images are presented in paintings. Each year, local monks unfurl a giant Buddha image on the mountain, a practice known as "Buddha Unveiling," allowing everyone to worship and pray for blessings together.
